Seythenex : small municipality of low mountain range of the Alps of the North, it enjoys a situation privileged on the road of the pass of Tamié which takes all its importance when the abbey Cistercian settles down in the XIIth century.
She is a part of the Regional Natural reserve of the Massif of Bauges. Pleasant rural district situated at feet of Sambuy (2 198 m), situated on a rocky spur in the confluence of the torents of Tamié and St Ruph, she turns for some years to the tourism summer-winter with the resort of Sambuy - Country of Faverges.
